Hyderabad: After regular thunderstorms, hailstorms and moderate rain lashed over the last few days, dry spell is expected in much of the state, according to weather blogger T Balaji.
Temperatures will be normal over the next 2-3 days, with North and East Telangana districts recording 38-40°C while Hyderabad is likely to record 37-38°C.
Heatwave conditions will likely prevail after April 10, with temperatures rising to 41-43°C in several districts across the state. Temperatures in Hyderabad will also likely soar to 40°C.
IMD forecast for April 6-9:
According to IMD, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds of 30-40 kmph and light rain is likely to occur at some places between April 6-10. The districts include Adilabad, Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Siricilla, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Jogulmba Gadwal among others.
In Hyderabad, maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 37 and 26 degrees Celsius on Monday, April 6.
Similar conditions will prevail in Andhra Pradesh, IMD said in its forecast.
The upper air cyclonic circulation over South Coastal AP and neighbourhood now lies over west central Bay of Bengal off south coastal AP at 1.5 km above mean sea level. An upper air cyclonic circulation lies over Rayalaseema and neighbourhood at 0.9 km above mean sea level.
