10 day deadline is about to end
Trump had earlier given Iran a deadline of 10 days to open the Strait of Hormuz. This deadline is going to end on Monday. But till now no agreement has been reached between the two countries. Trump has already said that if Iran does not step back, its major infrastructure related to electricity, water and oil can be attacked.

Iran’s big bridge has already been attacked
A few days ago, America and Israel had twice attacked the B1 bridge built in Karaj city of Iran. Two people died in this attack and the approximately 136 meter high bridge was completely destroyed. This 1050 meter long bridge was built at a cost of approximately 400 million dollars i.e. approximately Rs 3800 crore. It was counted among the largest bridges of Iran. After this attack, there was huge damage in the area and the traffic system was also badly affected.
Iran calls Trump’s threat a ‘war crime’
On the other hand, Iran has completely rejected Trump’s threat. Tehran says that if America attacks power plants or bridges, it would be considered a war crime according to international law. Iran has warned that if it is attacked, it will retaliate against important targets of Israel and US allies in the Gulf region.
Ceasefire efforts also failed
In the last 10 days, efforts were also made to reduce tension between the two countries. These talks were not conducted directly but through intermediary countries. Countries like Pakistan, Egypt and Türkiye tried to hold talks, but at present these efforts have not yielded any concrete results.
Why is the Strait of Hormuz important for the world?
In fact, the Strait of Hormuz is one of the most important sea routes in the world. It is believed that about 20 to 30 percent of the world’s total oil trade passes through this route. If this route remains closed or tension increases here, it can directly impact the world oil market and the economy of many countries.
Right now the eyes of the whole world are on what steps Iran takes after this deadline and what kind of action America takes. If the situation does not improve, this tension may turn into a major military conflict in the coming days, which may impact not only the Middle East but the entire world.
