Keep these things in mind
While lighting a lamp, pay full attention not only to the wick but also its direction. Keep the lamp facing north and east. Do not keep the lamp flame towards the west. Doing this can increase mental stress. Do not use broken lamps. After lighting the lamp, keep some rice under it.
