Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will host Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their first home game of IPL 2026 on Sunday. The fixture will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium from 3:30 PM IST. The toss will take place at 3:00 PM IST. SRH have played two games so far while LSG have participated in one fixture.
After losing to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the tournament opener on March 28, SRH bounced back against Kolkata Knight Riders and handed them a big 65-run defeat in an away fixture. It was the first win for Ishan Kishan as the captain in IPL.
Rishabh Pant-led kicked off their campaign with a defeat against Delhi Capitals (DC). Defending a target of 142, LSG left DC reeling at 26/4 at one stage. Sameer Rizvi and Tristan Stubbs rescued DC and propelled them to a win.
It will be the first time that Pant and Kishan will square off as captains in IPL. Pant was Kishan’s vice-captain in the 2016 U19 World Cup, where India lost to West Indies in the final. He made his India debut a year later and has been leading an IPL team since 2021.
Kishan finally made his India debut in 2021 and has been part of two T20 World Cup teams. He played a key role in India’s 2026 T20 World Cup title win.
SRH vs LSG pitch report
The pitch at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in full of runs and the team batting first will have to score more than 200 runs. The batsmen have gone fearless in the past one year and SRH can also become the first IPL team to score 300 if they bat first.
SRH missed out on breaching the 300-run mark at this venue as they put on a total of 286/6 against Rajasthan Royals. The Orange Army also chased down a target of 246 against Punjab Kings.

There is a slight chance of rain in Hyderabad during the fixture. Despite the rain prediction, the weather will remain partly sunny and the players will enjoy playing at this venue. The toss result doesn’t matter much.
