Ben Duckett Hundred At Lords: England’s opener Ben Duckett created history on the historic ground of Lord’s, which is called the Mecca of cricket. In the last ODI match played against India, Duckett, with his explosive batting, destroyed a 47-year-old record which big legends could not even touch. Due to which the England team, batting first in this match, managed to make a big score.
Ben Duckett’s big feat at Lord’s
Ben Duckett, who entered the match as an opener, appeared to be in excellent form right from the beginning. He played a marathon inning of 141 runs in 135 balls, defeating the Indian bowlers. In this historic innings, Duckett hit 18 fours and 1 six. He returned to the pavilion after getting out in the 44th over of the innings, but by then he had written a new history at Lord’s.
This is the fourth century of Ben Duckett’s ODI career, and with this he has become the batsman to play the biggest innings in the history of ODI cricket at Lord’s. He has broken the 47-year-old record of the great West Indies batsman Sir Viv Richards, who had scored unbeaten 138 runs against England in the 1979 World Cup final.
