How to read?
- After bathing after sunrise, wear pure clothes.
- Sit on the east direction and remember the ancestors.
- Keep water, sesame and cooked food in front.
- First recite Pitru Stotra and then of Swadha Stotra.
- After the recitation, offer water by saying ॐ Pitrudevaya Namah, Swadhayai Namah.
It is not enough to offer only food and tarpan to the ancestors in Pitrupaksha. If the Pitra Stotra and Swadha Stotra are recited with reverence, then the soul of the ancestors is satisfied and their blessings always remain on the dynasty. This blessing is the basis of child happiness, prosperity and every success of life.
