Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the youngest player in IPL history, is ready to show his talent once again. In the very first match of Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026, 15-year-old Vaibhav played exactly the same explosive innings, a glimpse of which he had shown in his debut season. Now Vaibhav is ready to face the team which gave him worldwide recognition last year. But before this match, the young opener of Rajasthan took blessings from the coach of the team against which the match was going to be played.
Saturday 4th April is the first double header day of IPL 2026. That means two matches in one day. The first match is between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians, while in the second match, Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals will face each other. For now, let us talk only about the second match, in which Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the most popular name of Indian cricket at the moment, will compete. Vaibhav is currently the apple of everyone’s eyes and the center of attraction and hence everyone is unable to stop themselves from meeting him.
A scene of this was seen even a day before the clash between Gujarat and Rajasthan. A day before this match to be held at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, both the teams were practicing together. During this time Vaibhav Suryavanshi was also on the field. Then as soon as Gujarat Titans coach Ashish Nehra’s eyes fell on this young batsman, he also came to meet him. Seeing Nehra coming, Vaibhav himself went towards her and directly touched her feet. Both of them talked for a few seconds and then started doing their respective practices.
It rarely happens that before a match someone goes to the coach of the same team and takes blessings. But Vaibhav Suryavanshi is still young and hence he is seen going and saluting every player or coach who is older than him. By the way, it is also interesting that before taking the field against the team against which they had hunted in the last season and against whom they can create an uproar once again, they are taking blessings from that team’s coach.
Let us remind you that in the last season, Vaibhav had won applause by hitting a six on the very first ball of his debut match, but he became a superhit all over the world with his historic century. Vaibhav had scored a century in just 35 balls at the young age of 14 and he achieved this feat against Nehra’s team Gujarat. That century of Vaibhav was the fastest century by any Indian batsman in IPL and the second fastest century in IPL history. With Nehra’s blessings, will Vaibhav repeat such feat against his own team?
