Inflation hits from kitchen to road! Torrent Gas made CNG expensive by Rs 2.50

After the increase in the prices of commercial gas cylinders and air turbine fuel, the prices of CNG have also started increasing. This time Torrent Gas has increased the prices of CNG. Earlier, Naira had increased the prices of petrol and diesel. However, till now there has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel from the government companies. At present the price of crude oil has reached $110 per barrel. Let us also tell you how much Torrent Gas has increased the prices of CNG.

Increase of Rs 2.50

Torrent Gas has increased the price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in the city by Rs 2.50 per kg. Due to this increase, concern has increased among the people about the rising prices of fuel. Some local people said that this increase will further increase their daily expenses. At the same time, auto-rickshaw drivers talked about the pressure on their earnings due to decreasing profits. This change has come amid the widespread increase in fuel prices. From April 1, commercial LPG cylinder rates were increased in major cities. Besides, the prices of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) also increased.

Increase in prices of commercial gas cylinders

This change in CNG prices has come after the continuous increase in fuel prices across the country. From April 1, there was a huge increase in the prices of commercial LPG cylinders. In Delhi, a 19 kg cylinder is now available at Rs 2,078.50 after an increase of Rs 195.50. Even smaller 5 kg cylinders have become costlier, while domestic LPG rates have remained unchanged since the recent hike in March.

Why is it increasing?

Fuel prices have been rising due to global factors, especially rising geopolitical tensions in West Asia and disruptions in crude oil supply routes (including the Strait of Hormuz). This increase in energy costs has also pushed up the prices of aviation turbine fuel (ATF), impacting airlines and airfares. The mixed effect of these increases is being felt in all sectors, from transportation to hospitality. Both businesses and consumers are struggling with rising operating costs.
