Mumbai: Adani Total Gas has announced a rise in the price of compressed natural gas (CNG) in India. The company has increased the price by Rs 1.50 per kilogram. After this revision, the new price of CNG has gone up from Rs 82.27 per kg to Rs 83.77 per kg.
The new rates have come into effect immediately. This means consumers will have to pay the higher price from now onwards.

Impact on Daily Users
The price hike will directly affect people who use CNG vehicles for daily travel. This includes private car owners as well as commercial users such as auto-rickshaw drivers, taxi operators, and small transport businesses.
According to experts in the energy sector, the increase in CNG prices is mainly due to higher input costs. The price of natural gas in international markets has been fluctuating, which affects domestic pricing.
Companies revise fuel prices based on these global trends and supply conditions. Rising transportation and processing costs also play a role in price adjustments.

Still Cheaper Than Petrol, Diesel
Even after the increase, CNG remains cheaper compared to petrol and diesel. It continues to be a preferred fuel for many users due to its lower cost and cleaner environmental impact.
However, frequent price hikes are becoming a concern for consumers, especially those who depend heavily on CNG for their daily livelihood.
