Czech Republic Simplifies Employee Registration Process From April 2026

Starting April 2026, employers in the Czech Republic will follow a much simpler process to register or remove employees from official records. The government is introducing a single monthly notification that will cover all employee updates in one place.

This change applies to all:

  • Czech Citizens
  • EU Nationals
  • Non-EU Foreign Workers.

One Monthly Submission Replaces 25 Forms

Until now, companies have often had to submit many different forms for each employee. In some cases, employers dealt with up to 25 separate notifications for registrations and deregistrations.

From April 2026, all these requirements will be combined into one monthly report. This report will include details of:

  • New employees joining the company
  • Employees leaving their jobs
  • Updates related to foreign workers
  • Labour Office notifications

The goal is to reduce paperwork and save time for employers.

Easier Process for Hiring Foreign Workers

The update also simplifies rules for companies hiring foreign workers. Earlier, employers had to send separate notifications to the Labour Office when hiring or terminating foreign workers.

Under the new system, these updates will now be included in the same monthly submission. This removes the need for multiple filings and helps employers manage compliance more easily.

What This Means for Employers and Workers

The new process should make administration faster and less complicated. Businesses will spend less time on paperwork, while authorities will receive more organised and consistent data.

For foreign workers, this change may help reduce delays linked to employment notifications, making hiring procedures smoother.

Overall, the reform aims to modernise the system and make employment reporting more efficient for everyone involved.
