New Delhi: Mahindra will be increasing prices of its entire model lineup by up to 2.5 per cent starting from Monday, April 6th. However, the recently unveiled Mahindra XUV 7XO is unaffected by the price hike for a limited period. Mahindra have 13 models on sale, with 12 of them seeing an immediate price increase.
The reason for the price hike has been given as “a combination of cost escalations.” As of now, the per-model price increase hasn’t been disclosed by Mahindra. For now, the pricing of the XUV 7XO will remain in the price range of Rs 13.66 lakh to Rs 25.07 lakh for the first 40,000 bookings, in line with Mahindra’s price protection guarantee.
Mahindra’s newest addition, XUV 7XO, will remain at the same price for the first 40,000 units
Once those bookings get completed, the XUV 7XO price will also increase in accordance with the other Mahindra models. The price hike will affect popular models, including Scorpio-N, XUV700, Thar, Bolero and the commercial line-up, which are all expected to see a significant price bump.
The hike from Mahindra follows the trend of brands like Audi, BMW, Mercedes, along with direct rivals like Tata Motors and MG Motors hiking the pricing from the start of the month. The price hike from all these brands has been attributed to commodity, logistics and currency pressures. To know the exact price of the models, interested customers can visit the Mahindra showroom or visit the official website to keep a tab on the price hike.
