During the hearing in Delhi High Court, Justice Swarn Kant Sharma expressed displeasure over the stance of Rajpal Yadav. He clearly said, “If the judge is talking nicely to you then never think that the judge is weak.”

During the hearing, Rajpal Yadav asked the court for 30 days time to repay Rs 6 crore. However, the judge flatly refused and said, “No, no meaning. I am reserving the decision, will not give more time.”

The matter started from 2010, problems increased due to film flop
This case is of 2010, when Rajpal Yadav had taken a loan of Rs 5 crore for the film ‘Ata Pata Lapata’. After the film flopped in 2012, he could not pay the amount. In 2018, he was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment in a check bounce case, which was also upheld in 2019. Later the amount with interest increased to around Rs 9 crore. After some payment, he got interim bail in February this year.
