A 26-year-old software professional committed suicide in Hyderabad. Police suspect that they took this step after being fed up with domestic disputes and dowry harassment. The police have arrested the accused husband and investigation into the case is ongoing.
A heartbreaking news has come from Miyapur area of Hyderabad. Here a 26 year old software professional from Bihar was found dead in her house. Police suspect that he committed suicide after being fed up with domestic discord and harassment. According to PTI report, the woman was found hanging from a fan in the hall of her apartment in Miyapur, Hyderabad on Wednesday. Her husband was the first to see her in this condition. A police officer said, “As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and started investigation.”
On the complaint of the woman’s family members, a case has been registered at Miyapur police station. The police have taken the husband into custody and the investigation is ongoing. Police revealed that this woman from Bihar had met a man from Madhya Pradesh through social media in 2020. After this both remained in a live-in relationship for five years. The officer further said, “In February this year, both of them got married in the presence of their family members in Patna. After the marriage, both of them were living in an apartment here in Miyapur.”
Police say that tension between the two had increased in recent weeks. It is alleged that the husband was mentally harassing the woman by demanding more dowry. Police said, “Not only this, the husband had started a start-up company and he was also pressurizing the woman’s family to invest money in his firm.”
Based on preliminary investigation, the officer said, “Unable to tolerate the harassment, the woman committed suicide.” Police said that the accused has been arrested and further investigation of the case is going on.
