The Election Commission has implemented new rules for Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. Now every booth will have a maximum of 1200 voters and 100% webcasting will be done. The entire election process will end before 20 November.
Prior to Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, the Election Commission has made major changes in the process of voting and counting in the state. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar said that this time a total of 90 thousand booths have been prepared in Bihar and maximum 1200 voters will be able to vote at each booth. This will make the voting process more streamlined and transparent.
Order and webcasting at booth level
The Election Commission said that 100 percent webcasting will be arranged at every booth. The purpose of this is that voters and political parties can watch every activity of the election process live and can find out any kind of irregularity immediately. The Chief Election Commissioner said that this will increase the trust of the voters and make the Mahaparva of democracy completely safe.
Voter security and new arrangements
The Election Commission also made it clear that this time voter cards will be distributed within 15 days. All the necessary information will be available in the voter slip at the booth, which will include polling station, photo photo and voting instructions. Also, candidates will be able to install their election symbol within a distance of 100 meters from the booth. The Chief Election Commissioner said that the purpose of these changes is to make the voting process more systematic, safe and simple. Every change will ensure the facility of both voters and candidates.
Voting process completed before 20 November
Gyanesh Kumar also announced that the entire process of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 would be completed before 20 November. He said that the Election Commission team has fully reviewed the election preparations by holding marathon meetings in the state. Necessary guidelines have been issued by meeting with all officers and political parties.
Mock poll and role of agents
The Election Commission has also strengthened the mock poll process. He said that candidates should nominate their polling agents and compulsorily monitor the total votes in Form 17C during the mock poll. This step has been taken to ensure the fairness of voting and increase voter trust.
Blos appreciation and inspiration
The Election Commission also appreciated the hard work of 90217 booth level officers (BLOS) of Bihar. The Chief Election Commissioner said that it is a source of inspiration for other Blos across the country. Through the SIR process, he completely purified the voter list and contributed significantly to the strength of democracy.
Message for voters
On this occasion, Dnyanesh Kumar also greeted voters in Bhojpuri and Maithili and said, “Just as we celebrate Mahaparva Chhath as a celebration, similarly celebrate the Mahaparva of democracy with a celebration. Ensure your participation, take responsibility and vote.” The Chief Election Commissioner appealed to all voters and political parties to play active participation in this mahaparva of democracy and make Bihar assembly elections successful and transparent.
