8th Pay Commission: Level 1 to 18 … DA will not get DA, yet so will increase the salary, this is the exact formula of calculus – News Himachali News Himachali

8th Pay Commission Basic Salary Calculation Formula: It has become clear about the 8th Pay Commission that it may have to wait till the year 2028 to be fully implemented, but it is not that millions of central personnel will get benefit from the year 2028.

More than 50 lakh central personnel and about 65 lakh pensioners can benefit from the 8th Pay Commission. According to the news, the 8th Pay Commission will be considered applicable from 1 January 2026 and on this date the employees will be given salary according to the new calculation. In fact, in January this year, the Modi cabinet approved the 8th Pay Commission, but its official notifications have not come nor the commission has been formed. Despite this, it is being told that even if it is applicable later, the salary will be implemented from January 2026.

Fitment Factors Formula

The ‘Fitment Factor’ for salary calculation in any pay commission means a lot. This basic is a multiplier, by which a new basic salary is fixed by multiplying the existing basic salary of an employee. The Sixth Pay Commission had a minimum basic salary of Rs 7,000 and the Fitment Factor 2.57 in the Seventh Pay Commission. Under this formula, the minimum basic salary was increased from Rs 7,000 to Rs 18,000 directly.

The official notification of the 8th Pay Commission has not come yet. So far many reports have been revealed about this, in which different fitment factor has been discussed. In some reports, 1.92 and in some up to 2.86 fitment factor are discussed. One possibility is being expressed that the Commission may implement a 2.46 fitment factor.

Dearness allowance will be merged in basic salary!

This time it is being said that dearness allowance can be merged at the basic salary itself. At the time of the formation of the Pay Commission, it is assumed that the original salary will be calculated in view of inflation. Then the amount is added to the same basic salary according to the increase in inflation for the next 10 or more years, which is added as dearness allowance. Therefore, it is being said that at the beginning of the 8th Pay Commission, dearness allowance will be merged in the basic salary itself. And so the fitment factor is expected to live more (2.46).

How much salary will increase?

For calculation of salary, we can calculate the fitment factor as 2.46. According to this, the minimum basic salary which is currently Rs 18,000 can increase to Rs 44,000. This will be the basic salary of the employees of Level-1. Dearness allowance will not be connected in this, but according to cities, HRA means house rent allowance will definitely be connected.

  • That is, there will be a formula of calculation of new basic salary-
  • Old Basic Salary x 2.46 = Basic Salary in 8th Pay Commission

According to this formula, see how much the basic salary of personnel from level 1 to level 18 will increase.

Now calculate the entire salary

Suppose you are the central worker of Level-7.

  • In this case, your basic salary will be = 44,900 rupees.
  • The existing DA means dearness allowance in it (55+3) 58% = 26,042 rupees.
  • According to Metro City Delhi HRA 27% = 12,123 rupees.
  • Accordingly, the total salary (Basic + Da + HRA) is = 83,065 rupees.

Now we know how much salary will increase in the calculation of the Pay Commission.

The central salary of the central worker of Level-7 (as is calculated in the table) will be = 1,10,554 rupees
It will have DA re-set 0% = 0 rupees
HRA will be added 27% = 29,849.58 rupees
Accordingly, the total salary (basic + da + hra) will be- 1,40,403 rupees.

On the basis of this formula, you can guess about the salary of personnel with different pay level matrix. However, it is important to keep in mind that it is not a fixed formula for calculation, but it should be seen as an estimated and an assessment.
