New Delhi: At least eight women were killed and many others injured during a religious gathering at the Sheetla Temple in Bihar’s Nalanda district on Tuesday. The tragedy took place as a huge number of devotees gathered for worship. This led to huge overcrowding and triggered a stampede in which several people were crushed.
Relief and rescue operations are underway at the site.
