New Delhi. The Red Fort explosion in the country’s capital Delhi shook the entire country. As its investigation is progressing, security agencies are making very shocking revelations. Investigative agencies have revealed that behind this attack was not just a single terrorist incident, but a medical module based terrorist network spread across four cities. In which at least eight suspects planned attacks in four cities and raised approximately Rs 26 lakh to do “something big”.
How did the planning of ‘Medical Module’ become dangerous?
According to investigation, these suspects associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed had collected Rs 26 lakh in cash. This amount was allegedly given to ‘Dr. Umar Un Nabi’, ‘Dr. Muzammil’, ‘Dr. Adeel’ and ‘Dr. Shaheen’ had collected it. With this amount, NPK fertilizer worth Rs 3 lakh was purchased, from which explosive IEDs were being prepared. These fertilizers were purchased from the markets of Gurugram and Nuh. According to Delhi Police and NIA, all 8 suspects were planning bomb blasts in 4 cities in a group of two each. Each group was given the responsibility of carrying a number of IEDs.
Has Al-Falah University become a hub of terrorists?
The investigating agencies found that room number 13 of building number 17 of Al-Falah University (Faridabad) was the meeting center of these suspects. This room was in the name of Dr. Muzammil Ahmed Gai (Pulwama), from where many electronic equipment, chemicals and IED making materials were found which were being used to increase the capability of IED. The agencies claim that some chemicals were also stolen from the university lab and brought into the room so that the potency of the bomb could be increased. Police have sealed the room and seized several electronic devices.
What was the ‘revenge plan’ of 6th December?
According to sources, Dr. Omar had allegedly planned the blast around the anniversary (December 6) of the demolition of the disputed Ayodhya structure. It is believed that this attack was to be carried out as an ‘act of revenge’, but this plan failed after the arrest of Dr. Muzammil.
Ammonium Nitrate Supply and Plan of Attack
According to sources, the explosive substance ammonium nitrate was extracted from fertilizers purchased from the open market of Noah. Security agencies launched a coordinated search operation in Nuh and Mewat. Investigation revealed that Muzammil had identified these markets and the material was brought from there.
Will the university’s funding be investigated now?
Sources have indicated that an investigation into Al-Falah University’s funding and foreign donations is now about to begin. The police have already sealed the premises and seized many records. Investigative agencies are trying to find out whether this network was getting financial assistance from foreign countries. The investigation by NIA and Delhi Police is making new revelations every day but one thing is certain, the Red Fort blast case is no longer just a blast but has become a new challenge for the country’s security.
