Prior to the festivals, the central government has given a big gift to the railway employees. In the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday, it was decided that this year a bonus of 78 days will be given to the Group C and Group D level employees of Railways.
This decision has brought a smile on the faces of millions of employees across the country and their families.
According to the information, about 11.5 lakh employees will benefit from this decision. The amount of bonus will go directly to the employees’ accounts and its payment will be started soon. Bonus railway employees will be paid various categories such as track maintainer, loco pilot, train manager (guard), station master, supervisor, technician, technician helper, pointsman, ministerial staff and other group ‘C staff. Non -gazed employees working in railway are given bonus every year. This is called Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB).

Experts believe that such festival bonus has a positive impact on the economy. When employees get bonus, they spend more, which increases the flow of money in the market. Both business and industry benefit from this. Recently, changes in GST rates were also made by the government, which is expected to increase the market.
