70th Foundation Day of Madhya Pradesh: New journey of self-reliant state from heritage to development

In its 70th year of foundation, Madhya Pradesh has set a new path for development, investment, innovation and women empowerment. This state, which is progressing rapidly in the fields of industry, agriculture and youth employment, is becoming the strong base of self-reliant India.

Madhya Pradesh is today entering the 70th year of its establishment. This state, which came into existence on 1 November 1956, has started a new journey of development in the last two decades. This journey has taken the state forward in the direction of joining the leading states of the country. Today, Rajyotsav is being celebrated on the auspicious occasion of Devuthani Gyaras, which is a symbol of the liveliness of our cultural traditions and festivals.

Path of development inspired by cultural traditions

Our festivals and traditions are the soul of our culture. These develop unity and positive thinking in the society. All the festivals are being celebrated widely and culturally in Madhya Pradesh. This is our tradition that inspires us to move forward from the old to the new.

State of natural and historical splendor

Madhya Pradesh, which is called the heart of India, is rich in forests, water, food, minerals, art and culture. Here there is proximity to holy rivers like Mother Narmada, Chambal, Parvati and Shipra. This is the birthplace of Lord Parshuram, the place of education of Lord Krishna and the place of penance of Adi Shankaracharya. The world’s first scientific calendar “Vikram Samvat” was started from Ujjain itself.

Madhya Pradesh from heritage to development

The state is moving forward in the direction of ‘development from heritage’ with its historical and natural heritage. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is moving towards becoming the third largest economy in the world. Madhya Pradesh is playing an active role in this mission. This year the theme of Rajyotsav has been kept as “Industry and Employment”, which focuses on sustainable development and public participation.

New heights of investment and industrial development

While celebrating the Industry Year in the state, investors have been provided an efficient and safe environment. The investment journey that started from Ujjain has reached across the country and abroad — investment has been promoted through road-shows in centers like Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Bengaluru, Japan, Germany, Dubai. Due to these efforts, industrial investment in the state has increased manifold.

Steps towards startup and innovation

In Madhya Pradesh, youth are being motivated towards startups through Innovation Hub, Startup Policy and funding support. There has been significant investment in the IT, electronics and renewable energy sectors in the last one year.

Pillars of development: investment, innovation and employment

Investment, innovation and employment have been considered the three main pillars of development in the state. Madhya Pradesh has made historic achievements in the fields of industry, agriculture, energy and social empowerment.

Holistic development through the mantra of ‘GYAN’

Development schemes are being implemented in Madhya Pradesh keeping in mind Prime Minister Modi’s ‘GYAN’ (Poor, Youth, Annadata, Women) mantra. Special attention is being given to poor welfare, youth employment, farmer empowerment and women upliftment.

Youth power and employment generation

Madhya Pradesh Skill Development Mission and Startup Policy 2025 have transformed the youth from ‘job seekers’ to ‘job creators’. The state is the first to release the government recruitment calendar. Employment fairs and apprenticeship programs are connecting youth with employment.

Agricultural Innovation and Irrigation Revolution

In the agriculture sector, special attention is being given to drone based crop inspection, smart irrigation and value addition. Ken-Betwa and Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal link projects will increase irrigation facilities to farmers. The target is to increase the irrigation area to 100 lakh hectares in the next three years.

New direction of women empowerment

Ladli Behna Yojana and Nari Shakti Mission have given economic security and self-reliance to women. Self-help groups and women entrepreneurship policy are providing employment and industry opportunities to millions of women.

Expansion of cattle and milk production

Under the Chief Minister Cow Promotion Mission, cow sanctuaries and service centers have been established across the state. This has led to a significant increase in milk production, which is strengthening the rural economy.

Towards self-reliant and developed Madhya Pradesh

With the guidance of Prime Minister Modi and the support of the public, Madhya Pradesh is successfully implementing welfare policies. Smile of the poor, prosperity of farmers, respect for women and bright future of youth – this is the resolve of self-reliant and developed Madhya Pradesh.

Hearty greetings to the people of Madhya Pradesh on the 70th Foundation Day.
