New Delhi: Apple introduced their new phone, iPhone 17, which is all set to be launched on 9 September 2025. Along with the new launch, Apple has announced the packing up of some of their products. They are going to discontinue seven products from their lineup, including many previous-generation iPhones, Apple Watches, and AirPods.
Some of the devices from this lineup are going to be discontinued from the market and can not be seen anymore. While the buyer can witness the price drop on the iPhone 16 series along with the launch of the iPhone 17 series. The expected price for iPhone 17 in India is around Rs. 79,990, and for iPhone 17 Air, the price could cost between Rs. 90,000 and Rs. 100,000.
Seven Discontinued Products by Apple
According to the reports, Apple is likely to move out seven of their products from the Apple family, which includes the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. From the watches group, it’s the Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple Watch Ultra 2, along with the AirPods Pro 2. These devices are phased out from the Apple lineup and will not be available on the Apple site, nor will there be a chance of seeing them in Apple retail. However, these devices will be available for interested buyers on e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and Flipkart. While it may also be available at several offline stores that have them, they may have limited stock of them.
Apple focused on the new iPhone series
By discontinuing the old models from the Apple cart, the company has some new plans for their upcoming and newly launched products; they are likely more focused on their new segment or next-generation products. Now Apple is mainly focusing on its new iPhone lineup, which includes iPhone 16e, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Chance of price drop in the 16 series
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to get a price drop. As we remember last year’s event, during the launch of the iPhone 16 series, Apple reduced the price by Rs. 10,000 on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. So we can expect the same thing with the iPhone 16 series again this year during the launch of the iPhone 17 series.
