Big change in bank nomination process
According to the new guidelines of the Finance Ministry, from November 1, 2025, up to 4 people can now be nominated in the bank account (Bank Nomination Process). If you want, you can also decide the percentage of share of each nominee. Also, now the option of Successive Nominee will also be available i.e. if the first nominee is no longer active then the next nominee will automatically become active. Banks will now give every customer the option of nomination, but if someone does not want to add a nominee, the account will still be opened.
New charge for SBI card holders
SBI Card has also issued new rules which will be applicable from November 1. Now if you do educational payment (Education Fees) transactions through third party apps like MobiKwik or CRED, then 1% extra charge will be levied. Apart from this, 1% charge will have to be paid for loading wallet more than Rs 1,000.
Punjab National Bank (PNB) locker charges will be reduced.
If you have a locker in PNB, then there is good news for you. The bank has decided to reduce the locker rent, which will be decided according to the size and category of the locker. The new rates will be released on the bank’s website in November and will be applicable 30 days after notification.
New update related to Aadhar card
UIDAI has given relaxation in the rules related to Aadhaar update. Mandatory Biometric Update of children will now be free for one year. For adults, the fee for changing name, date of birth, address or mobile number will be Rs 75 and for biometric change (fingerprint or iris scan) the fee will be Rs 125. Now you will also be able to update online without uploading any document.
Important alert for pensioners
If you are a government pensioner, you will have to submit your life certificate (life certificate) to the bank by the end of November. If this is not done, your pension may be stopped or may be received late. At the same time, those who want to shift from NPS to UPS (Unified Pension Scheme) will also have to apply by the end of November.
New slabs of GST will be applicable
According to the Finance Ministry, a major change in the GST system will be implemented from November 1. 12% and 28% slabs are being scrapped. Now there will be only two main slabs and a special slab of 40% will be implemented for luxury and sin goods.
