America-India tarifs: Relations between the US and India on the tariff issue are getting worse. US President Donald Trump has been warned several times in this case not to misbehave with India on tariff issues. In this context, Democrats of the House Foreign Affairs Committee have warned President Donald Trump on Friday. Also said that such action is threatening the India-US relationship developed.

American representative Gregory Mikes says that any concern should be addressed in a respectable manner. In a post on X, Democrats of the House Foreign Affairs Committee said, “Gregory Mix: Trump’s latest tariff nails a strong US-India partnership to create careful work of years to create a strong US-India partnership. Our deep strategic, economic and people have relations with people. Concerns should be addressed in accordance with our democratic values.”

No business related talks are going to happen with India
Earlier, Donald Trump had said that no talk with India is going to be held till the tariff issue is found out. This is because the administration has decided to double the tariff on Indian imports. In fact, an order was issued by the White House on Wednesday, in which 25 percent marks were put on Indian goods, causing the total levy to 50 percent. According to US officials, the initial 25% tariff came into effect from August 7. The additional fee will apply in 21 days and apply to all Indian goods that will enter American ports – except for those items that are already in transit and some special categories.
