Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that efforts are on to improve health services and remove shortcomings in Madhya Pradesh. There will be 50 medical colleges in the state soon. Intensive discussion with collectors on health and nutrition.

The state government is working rapidly to further improve health services in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that new health facilities are being started in the state and every effort is being made to remove the shortcomings. The Chief Minister directed the District Collectors that the benefits of Ayushman Bharat Yojana should reach all eligible people and make the quality and access of health services easier.

50 Medical College target: Every district gets treatment facility

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that more than 30 medical colleges are currently operated in the state, and soon this number will reach 50. He said that many colleges have been started on PPP models so that citizens of every district can get better health facilities. In the districts where the process of allotment of land for the medical college is going on, work will be completed soon.

Collector-Commercial Conference: Intense discussion on health and nutrition

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was speaking on the topic “Health and Nutrition” in the second session on the first day of the Collector-Commerce Conference. In this session, Principal Secretary Health Sandeep Yadav held a detailed discussion on maternal and child health, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), decay (TB), and eradication of sickle cell.

Principal Secretary Sandeep Yadav said that regular check -up of adolescent girls, pregnant and fiery women should be ensured under the Anemia Free India campaign for maternal and child health. Also emphasized vaccination under Janani Shishu Safety Program, data entry on ANMOL 2.0 and high risk in the PM safe maternity campaign and emphasis on the identity of pregnant women and safe delivery.

Focus on nutrition and public awareness

The session stated that only for six months should prefer breastfeeding, management of malnourished children, and effective use of nutrition trackers. Along with this, instructions were given to maintain timeliness in payment of Janani Suraksha Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, and other schemes.

Strict strategy on eradication of NCD, TB and sickle cell

The Principal Secretary said that testing of diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer should be mandatory. Instructions were given to make patients entry, nutrition assistance, and DBT payments on time on the postal portal. Along with the sickle cell campaign, the arrangement of screening, hydroxyuria drug, and pneumococcal vaccination was emphasized.

The Principal Secretary said that coordination should be increased between the Health Department and the Women and Child Development Department at the district level. He stated the need to promote the operated gram panchayats, Anganwadi centers, and local food diversity.

Districts became an example of innovations

In the session, Balaghat, Jhabua and Mandsaur districts presented their innovative models.

  • Balaghat shared a strategy to reduce maternal and infant mortality.
  • Jhabua informed about the nutritional improvement efforts.
  • Mandsaur presented “Complete Health Model” and presented inspiring examples at the state level.
