Jaipur, Rajasthan – Stani Memorial PG College successfully concluded a transformative five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Emerging Technologies on Digital Tools, Platforms & Pedagogy in Higher Education”, which brought together a distinguished panel of academicians, technology experts, and education leaders from across the country. The programme was aimed at enhancing the digital readiness of faculty members, equipping them with innovative teaching tools, and helping them adapt to the evolving demands of 21st-century higher education.
Over the course of five days, participants engaged in interactive sessions, live demonstrations, and in-depth discussions on integrating digital solutions into curriculum delivery, improving student engagement, and redefining the role of educators in a knowledge-driven society.
Day 1 – Inaugural Sessions Set the Vision
The FDP began with an inaugural session that set a dynamic tone for the week ahead.

Day 2 – National Digital Library of India: A Gateway to Knowledge
The second day featured Mr. Partha Sengupta, Senior Manager, NDLI Club, IIT Kharagpur, who introduced participants to the far-reaching potential of the National Digital Library of India (NDLI).
He explained how the NDLI platform unifies diverse knowledge resources—spanning books, journals, videos, and research papers—into a single digital repository, thereby empowering both teachers and learners to access quality academic content anytime, anywhere. The session also explored strategies for leveraging NDLI to enhance research capabilities, bridge knowledge gaps, and promote academic inclusivity.
Day 3 – Transforming Classrooms with Learning Management Systems
On the third day, Mr. Gourav Gupta, Senior Full Stack Developer at the Institute of Rural Management (FMS-IRM), focused on the practical implementation of Learning Management Systems (LMS) in higher education. His session covered system integration, feature optimization, and custom module development to meet institutional needs. Through case studies and live demonstrations, he showcased how LMS platforms can streamline academic processes, enable blended learning, and foster better communication between students and faculty.
Day 4 – Teachers as Architects of Change
Day four featured an inspiring and reflective address by Dr. Radha Sharma, Principal of Stani Memorial PG College, on “The Evolving Role of Teachers in Society.”
She emphasized that modern educators are not confined to delivering subject matter—they are mentors, value-shapers, and community leaders. Dr. Sharma spoke on the necessity of cultivating critical thinking, empathy, and ethical responsibility in students, positioning the teacher as a transformative figure who shapes not just academic knowledge but also the moral fabric of society.
Day 5 – Outcome-Based Education and Valedictory Reflections
The concluding day of the programme was dedicated to Outcome-Based Education (OBE), E-content development, and Effective Presentation Skills.
Prof. Sarina Kalia, Head of the Department of Physical Education, University of Rajasthan, provided hands-on strategies for designing learning objectives, creating impactful e-learning modules, and delivering presentations that capture and retain audience attention.
In the valedictory session, Prof. Barbara Kangan, President of SIIRM, lauded the efforts of both the speakers and participants, remarking:
“A good teacher imparts knowledge, but a great teacher instills values into life.”
She highlighted the importance of continuous learning for educators, especially in the context of rapidly changing technology and student expectations.
