Championship started in Karni Singh Shooting Range
Once again there has been a gathering of shooters in the country’s capital New Delhi. The competition for accurate aim has started again in the world famous Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range of Delhi as the 44th North Zone Shooting Championship 2025 has started in Delhi. The competitions of this championship started on Saturday 25th October at Karni Singh Range, in which dozens of shooters from North India are taking part and will showcase their talent for the next several days. This championship is being organized by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) and is being conducted by the Delhi State Rifle Association (DSRA).
While inaugurating the championship on Saturday, Delhi State Rifle Association President Jaspal Rana congratulated all the players and also expressed hope for the display of sportsmanship. He said, “I wish all the best to all the participants taking part in this prestigious championship. I am confident that the shooters participating in this competition will showcase their exceptional skills and sportsmanship. I look forward to witnessing amazing performances at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range.”
DSRA Joint Secretary Ishwinder Jeet Singh gave information about different events of the tournament. “We are expecting participation of more than 200 shooters for various shotgun events, which include skeet, trap and double trap events,” he said. He expected tough competition in this championship and expressed his eagerness to see the talented shooters in action. He also expressed DSRA’s commitment to provide a world class platform to the shooters.
DSRA has organized different events this year also. Just a few weeks ago, this association had organized a championship for shooters from Delhi itself, in which hundreds of players took part. Once again, many young shooters from different states of North India apart from Delhi will get a chance to show their talent in the Karni Singh Shooting Range.
