CM Bhupendra Patel completed 4 years of good governance on 13 September 2025. Namo Lakshmi Yojana in Gujarat provided assistance of 10.49 lakh daughters ₹ 1000 crore and 1.50 lakh students from Namo Saraswati Vigyan Sadhana Yojana.
Gandhinagar. CM Bhupendra Patel completed 4 years of good governance on 13 September 2025. During this, he took the development journey of Gujarat to new heights with the inspiration of Prime Minister Modi. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched two new schemes in March 2024 to realize the resolution of the Prime Minister’s developed India@2047 – Namo Lakshmi Yojana and Namo Saraswati Vigyan Sadhana Yojana.
Namo Lakshmi Yojana: Financial assistance for education of daughters
The objective of this scheme is not to give up studies due to financial difficulties of the state.
- Every student studying from class 9 to 12 is given a total assistance of ₹ 50,000 in four years.
- This benefit is available to the students studying in schools recognized by Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GSHSEB) and CBSE.
- Even if the students are getting scholarship from any other government scheme, this scheme will still be applicable as additional benefits.
- A special Namo Lakshmi portal has been created to operate the scheme.
So far, more than 10.49 lakh students have been given financial assistance of more than ₹ 1000 crore.

Namo Saraswati Vigyan Sadhana Yojana: Encouragement for students of Faculty of Science
The objective of this scheme is to choose more and more students and meet the technical needs of the future.
- Students scoring 50% or more marks in class 10 can get the benefit of this scheme by entering class 11 and 12 in Science Stream.
- This benefit is given to students studying in government, subsidized and self -sufficient schools.
- Every student gets a total assistance of ₹ 25,000 in two years.
- Namo Saraswati portal has been created to operate the scheme.
So far, more than 1.50 lakh students have been given financial assistance of more than ₹ 161 crore.
Future preparations: Employment opportunities in science and technology
Gujarat is moving rapidly in areas such as semiconductor, green energy and digital science today. In the coming time, there will be a huge demand for technical workforce in these areas.
- More students will choose the Faculty of Science from Namo Saraswati scheme.
- Quality education will be available in the field of science and technology in the state.
- Employment and career opportunities for the youth will increase.
