New Delhi: Pacers Prafiul Hinge and Sakib Hussain shone on debut to help Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) thrash Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 57 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, in the IPL 2026 on Monday. Both Hinge and Hussain picked up four-wicket hauls apiece to star in SRH’s thumping victory and enter an elite list of bowlers who have picked up a four-fer on their IPL debuts.
Hinge and Hussain combined to run riot against the Rajasthan Royals in their run chase after SRH rode on skipper Ishan Kishan’s 44-ball 91 and Heinrich Klaasen’s quickfire 40 off 26 balls to post a strong total of 216 runs on the board, batting first in the game. The two debutant pacers rocked RR with sensational opening spells to turn the game completely in their side’s favour.
With four-wicket hauls on their IPL debut, Hinge and Hussain joined the likes of former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar, Andrew Tye and Alzarri Joseph, among others, in an elite list. Only eight bowlers have taken a four-wicket haul on their IPL debut, with SRH’s game against RR on Monday being the first instance of two bowlers getting a four-fer on their tournament debut.
