Maruti Suzuki recently introduced the Brezza facelift with a new 1.0L turbo-petrol engine along with subtle design and feature upgrades. The Indo-Japanese automaker is now gearing up to introduce facelifted versions of its three popular models, the Baleno hatchback, Fronx compact crossover and Grand Vitara midsize SUV, by the end of this year. Additionally, Maruti Suzuki is expected to enter the electric MPV segment with a new model, codenamed YMC, possibly by late 2026.
Here’s a quick look at the key details of these upcoming models.
2026 Maruti Baleno Facelift
The updated Baleno will retain its existing design language and silhouette, while featuring a revised grille, a tweaked bumper and slightly redesigned LED headlamps at the front. Other design highlights might include new diamond-cut alloy wheels, revised LED taillamps and a tweaked rear bumper. Inside, the hatchback is likely to feature ventilated front seats and new upholstery and trims. Mechanically, the 2026 Maruti Baleno is expected to remain unchanged.
2026 Maruti Fronx Facelift
Spy shots confirmed that the will be offered with an ADAS suite along with expected features such as a larger touchscreen, ventilated front seats, a fully digital driver’s display, ventilated front seats and more. Minimal design changes are also expected. Under the hood, the new Fronx will continue to feature the 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0L Boosterjet turbo petrol engine options.
2026 Maruti Grand Vitara Facelift
The Maruti Grand Vitara is set to receive its first major midlife update in the coming months. While details are still under the wraps, the SUV is expected to come with slightly improved styling and new features. The engine setup, however, will remain intact. The CNG version could feature an underbody-mounted tank similar to the Victoris and the new Brezza.
Maruti YMC Electric MPV
The will share its Heartect-e skateboard platform and powertrain options with the eVitara. Spy shots reveal that the electric family-mover will feature a closed-off grille, battery cooling vents and alloy wheels similar to the eVitara. Expected features include a touchscreen infotainment system, powered and ventilated seats, a digital driver’s display and more. When launched, the YMC will take on the Kia Carens Clavis EV and MG Windsor EV.
