A similar case has come to light in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, where the bride disappeared from home just a few days after the marriage. It is alleged that while leaving, she also took the gold and silver jewelery of the house with her. Now this matter has become a topic of discussion in the area and people are calling it a case of ‘robber bride’.

Search for life partner and meeting middlemen

Uttam Ahirwar, resident of Parasai village of Jhansi district, was searching for a life partner for marriage for a long time. The family also wanted their house to be settled. Meanwhile, he met two youths who had come from Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh.

These young men declared themselves experts in arranging marriages and assured that they would get Uttam married soon. In return he took Rs 60,000 and claimed to settle the relationship within a few days.

The wedding took place in the temple, the family felt that their dream had come true

Trusting the words of the middlemen, Uttam paid the money. After this the marriage took place in the famous Karaundi Mata temple of Jhansi. Rituals were performed in the temple, garlands were offered and the family felt that now a new beginning had come in Uttam’s life.

After the marriage, the bride came to her in-laws’ house and everything went on normally for the first four days. There was an atmosphere of happiness in the house and no one had the slightest doubt about what was going to happen next.

Bride found missing from home on fifth day morning

But when the family members woke up in the morning on the fifth day of the marriage, the bride was not found at home. When the search started, it was found that she had quietly left the house.

Uttam alleges that the bride also took away the gold and silver jewelery kept in the house with herself. He says that he was trapped by getting him married to a middle-aged woman, who ran away with goods worth lakhs as soon as she got the chance.

1.20 lakh rupees spent, jewelery also taken away

According to victim Uttam Ahirwar, around Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand was spent on this entire marriage. This includes money paid to middlemen and other wedding expenses. Apart from this, the gold and silver jewelery kept in the house is also missing, the value of which is said to be in lakhs. The family is shocked after the incident and feels cheated.

Police complaint, investigation started

After the matter came to light, Uttam Ahirwar reached the police station and lodged a complaint. He has also demanded action against the two youths who had claimed to come from Madhya Pradesh and get married. The police have registered a complaint and started investigating the matter. Officials say that this entire matter is being investigated from every angle and the people who were involved in this alleged fake marriage are being searched.
