The 37th Provincial Sports Meet was inaugurated at Sant Ishwar Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School, Udhampur, with enthusiastic participation from student athletes of 11 districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by chief guest Shiv Kumar Sharma, DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range.
The event was attended by Tarsem Singh, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Udhampur; Ramesh Jasrotia, Chand Mittal, Kuldeep, Nek Ram, Parveen Singh, Mulkh Raj Sharma, Renu Sharma, Principal, along with referees, judges, teachers and officials.
The ceremony included flag hoisting, welcome song, sports oath and formal declaration of the meet open. DIG Shiv Kumar Sharma highlighted discipline, teamwork, leadership and patriotism as key values promoted through sports.
