Patna: Amid the stirring of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, the Jan Suraj Party and its founder Prashant Kishore (PK) have been bombarded. Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former state president Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal has put Prashant Kishore directly into the dock through social media posts. He has raised many serious questions about PK funding, party registration and expenses. Jaiswal alleges that “Bihar was identified with Natwarlal in the world of cheating, but PK also turned out to be his grandfather.”
14 crore donations and spending only 35 thousand?
Jaiswal wrote in his post that Prashant Kishore himself has admitted that Andhra Pradesh MP Ayodhya Rami Reddy donated him Rs 14 crore. But according to the audit report submitted to the Election Commission, the expenditure of 2023-24 of Jan Suraj Party has been shown only 35 thousand rupees. Jaiswal raised the question that when hundreds of vehicles, five star tents, grand food and drinks were appointed, how is all this possible for just 35 thousand rupees? He taunted and said that “If PK had given this formula to the youth of Bihar, this would have been the biggest change.”
Question on the “origin” of Jan Suraj Party
Jaiswal also claimed that till 17 September 2024, Jan Suraj Party President Sarat Kumar Mishra and Treasurer Ajit Singh were on the Election Commission website. But within just 15 days, on 2 October 2024, the party’s “new origin” was declared from Gandhi Maidan and the president was changed. Jaiswal asked how and why this change happened? According to him, the entire foundation of Jan Suraj Party is doubtful and PK is not transparent about it.
Ayodhya Rami Reddy’s name also in controversy
Sanjay Jaiswal, while raising the name of Ayodhya Rami Reddy, said that these MPs are one of the richest MPs in the country and they have several cases of financial scams. He raised the question that when PK received a donation of 14 crores, why was it not shown in the party account? Did this money go to his personal account?
