For the last few days, 25-year-old Zhang Xueqiang has been dominating China’s social media. According to the report of South China Morning Post, Zhang has saved Rs 1.42 crore in five years. Zhang himself has written about this on his social media. After this post went viral, many news agencies interviewed Zhang Shueqiang. Zhang Shueqiang previously ran a snack shop with a friend in Zhangzhou city, Fujian province. Due to the loss in this business, he had a debt of 50,000 yuan (US$7,000). In 2020, he left Fujian and came to Shanghai in search of work and started working as a delivery boy.
What did Zhang Shueqiang say?
I have saved Rs 1.42 crore in five years by working hard and living a very simple life. I work 13 hours a day, seven days a week. My work starts at 10:30 am and ends at 1 pm. I have no other expenses except my daily needs. Apart from eating and sleeping, I devote all my time to work, Zhang Shueqiang said in an interview.
Zhang Shueqiang takes and fulfills about 300 orders every month. It takes them a maximum of 25 minutes to deliver an order. People who worked with Zhang Shueqiang call him ‘Order King’ and ‘Great God’. In the last 5 years, Zhang Shueqiang has taken some leave only on the occasion of festival (Chinese Spring Festival).
8.5 hours of sleep daily
In late November he posted that he had saved 1.4 million yuan after working for 5 years. After paying off the loan and taking care of daily expenses, I managed to save so much money. According to the report, Zhang, who sleeps 8.5 hours every day, has traveled 3,24,000 kilometers in 5 years. Zhang is not a person who wastes time, he does the work of food delivery with full dedication. Zhang is always carrying orders, said Yan, director of a delivery center in Shanghai’s Minhang district. Zhang is a very hard-working person and an inspiration to our staff.
Zhang shared his dream of the future
According to SCMP report, while sharing his dream he said, ‘I shared my story online. But I did not expect to get so much praise from people. I am proud of my hard work. It was only because of hard work that I was able to save so much money. There is a plan to start two hotels by investing 8 lakh yuan next year.
