Anirudhacharya, the famous narrator of Vrindavan in Mathura, is once again in controversy. He is accused of making objectionable and embarrassing comments about women. An old video of him is going viral on social media, in which he made a statement against women from the stage.
Women advocates have raised strong objections to this statement and filed a complaint with Mathura SSP.
What did Anirudhacharya say?
Anirudhacharya, the Peetadhishwar of Gauri Gopal Ashram in Vrindavan, said during his discourse, “Earlier, when they were married at the age of 14, girls used to get mixed up in the family. But now when 25 -year -old girls come into the house, they have killed somewhere. This statement became increasingly viral on social media and people described it as extremely objectionable.
Women advocates complain, demand strict action
The women advocates of Mathura have protested against this statement. He met Mathura SSP Shlok Kumar and gave a written complaint and demanded strict action against Anirudhacharya. Women advocates also held a meeting on Thursday and warned to protest further.
Old relationship with disputes
Anirudhacharya has also been in the news for controversial statements earlier. He has made objectionable remarks many times on God and women. Bar Association has also supported women advocates. Bar Association President Pradeep Sharma said, ‘This is a very embarrassing and objectionable statement. We oppose this and strict action will be taken against such saints.
