Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached West Bengal on Saturday on a two-day visit. During this, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development and railway projects in Hooghly district, release the new installment of PM-Kisan scheme for farmers and also participate in the International Yoga Day program in Kolkata.
Before the visit, Prime Minister Modi also extended greetings on West Bengal Day. He said that West Bengal has enriched the history of India with its contribution in literature, music, art, spirituality, science, business, social reform and many other fields. From time to time, the state has worked to give a new direction to the national consciousness of the country.
PM-Kisan installment released
Prime Minister Modi will reach Tarakeswar in Hooghly district at around 3:30 pm. Here he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of many development and railway projects. Besides, we will also start many welfare schemes for farmers.
During this, the Prime Minister will release the 23rd installment of PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Under this, money will be sent directly to the bank accounts of about 10 crore farmers across the country. About 50 lakh farmers of West Bengal will also take advantage of this scheme and an amount of Rs 2,000 will start reaching their accounts from Saturday. The Prime Minister will transfer a total amount of more than Rs 18,880 crore to the accounts of more than 9.44 crore farmers across the country through one click from Tarakeswar. Of these, more than 45.35 lakh farmers of West Bengal are expected to get about Rs 907 crore.
PM-Kisan Scheme
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was launched on 24 February 2019. Under this, financial assistance of Rs 6,000 is given every year to eligible farmer families. This amount is sent directly to the bank accounts of the farmers in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 every four months.

- Go to the official website of PM-Kisan.
- Click on Know Your Status option.
- Enter your registration number.
- Get OTP by filling the captcha.
- After entering OTP, click on Get Data.
Here you can check payment status, installments record, bank details and e-KYC status. Farmers can also check name in the beneficiary list of their village. For this, you will have to fill the information of state, district, block and village by choosing the Beneficiary List option on the PM-Kisan portal. After this the list of eligible farmers will be visible.
