Women took command of villages
The effect of the policies of Yogi government is that now women are seen not only as workers but also in leadership roles. These women are handling important tasks like monitoring of works, attendance and management of workers. The government has sent an amount of more than Rs 111 crore directly to the accounts of these women METs, thereby strengthening both transparency and trust.
Self-help groups become a force of change
Self-help groups have played an important role in promoting women leadership in rural areas. Women associated with the National Rural Livelihood Mission are being given responsibilities on priority basis. Due to this, management capacity is developing among women and they are taking active part in the decisions of the villages.
Increased confidence due to timely payment
Transparency in the employment guarantee system can be gauged from the fact that more than 97 percent of the workers have been paid on time. This system has now become reliable, where the full value of hard work is being received on time.
New income opportunities in villages
So far, an amount of more than Rs 6703 crore has been spent under rural employment schemes in the state. This gave impetus to development works, increased employment at the local level and effectively stopped migration. The government has also strengthened inclusive development by giving priority to Scheduled Caste and Tribe families.
Strong economy from strong women
