Bengaluru: Now there has been a big twist in the incident of mother’s attack on the daughter who came to her maternal home after leaving her husband. It is suspected that the mother was planning to sacrifice her daughter. The incident took place near Harihareshwar temple in Agrahara layout of Sampigehalli police station area. This morning, mother Sarojamma brought her 22-year-old daughter Ramya to the temple and attacked her on the neck with a sharp weapon.
An attempt was made to murder the daughter on the pretext of bringing her to the temple. When the daughter was bowing her head and paying obeisance, the mother tried to cut her neck. Daughter Ramya lived in Anekal. Her two children were ill and Ramya herself was not well. Therefore, Ramya came to her mother’s house with her husband Somashekhar. She had come to her maternal home only three days ago. Around 3:45 in the morning, mother Sujata brought Ramya to a temple located a short distance from home for puja.
Attack with a sharp weapon while bowing the head
While Ramya was bowing her head while worshiping God, her mother attacked her on the neck with a sharp weapon. After the incident she fled from the spot. During this entire incident, Ramya’s husband Somshekhar was at home. Therefore, this matter is now raising many doubts.
Did the mother want to sacrifice her daughter?
Was the mother trying to sacrifice her daughter? Because today was Amavasya, Sujata had brought her daughter to the temple. She had brought him for puja early in the morning and when the neighbors saw the puja, she scolded them and sent them away. They had come to the temple with puja material and sharp weapons. As soon as the daughter bowed her head, she attacked with a sharp weapon and then ran away. Blood soaked Ramya has been admitted to the hospital. At present, the police is investigating on the spot and another team is searching for absconding Sujata.
Were mother and daughter ready to sacrifice with consent?
Another shocking thing has come to light in the initial police investigation. Sujata had been coming to the temple at four in the morning and worshiping for the last one month. He had called his daughter Ramya home just a few days ago. Both were coming for puja for the last three-four days. This morning also both of them had come for puja. CCTV footage shows that the daughter herself had brought a sharp weapon. It is suspected that during this time both of them attacked each other. While paying obeisance, Sujata attacked Ramya on her neck, after which Ramya also attacked Sujata. Sujata got injured on her forehead in this attack. Sujatha had run away from the temple in an injured state and bleeding. She was tired and went straight home. On receiving the information, the police took Sujata into custody and admitted her to the hospital. At present, the police have many doubts on this incident. It is also doubtful whether both were ready to sacrifice each other. Sampigehalli police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
