Farmers of Punjab-Haryana-Himachal Pradesh get 21st installment
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme, 21st installments have been sent to farmers of three big states of the country (Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttarakhand). Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan released this amount ahead of time on Friday. The special thing is that these money has been sent to the farmers of those states, where recently there has been a lot of damage due to floods and landslides. This time the government has sent more than Rs 540 crore directly through the bank to the account of more than 27 lakh farmers. These include about 2.7 lakh women farmers.
Punjab, Himachal and Uttarakhand received money
Farmers of Punjab, Himachal and Uttarakhand have received huge amount. This time Rs 160.21 crore has been sent to the accounts of 8 lakh 1 thousand 45 farmers of Himachal Pradesh. At the same time, 11 lakh 9 thousand 895 farmers of Punjab have received Rs 221.98 crore and Rs 157.83 crore has been transferred to the account of 7 lakh 89 thousand 128 farmers of Uttarakhand. The Agriculture Minister said that this amount will work immediately for the farmers. He told that these installments of 2 thousand rupees will help farmers to buy the essential things of the house, take seeds and fertilizers and prepare for the next crop.
What is PM Kisan Yojana?
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana Under this, farmers who are entitled to this, get help of 6 thousand rupees every year. This amount comes in three equal installments, meaning 2 thousand rupees are given every four months. The objective of this scheme is to give constant financial support to the farmers so that they can run their farming and family expenses well. To take advantage of this scheme, it is necessary that farmers are Indian citizens and land for farming in his name. Also, its Aadhaar number should be linked to the bank account and it is necessary to complete the EKYC. But farmers who pay income tax, take pension or work in government PSUs will not get the benefit of this scheme.
When will farmers of other states get money?
After the release of the 21st installment in Himachal, Punjab and Uttarakhand, now it is expected that the farmers of the rest of the states will also get this relief soon. The 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme can reach the account of the rest of the farmers in the month of October. It is believed that the government will transfer this amount before Diwali, ie before 21 October 2025. This time about 10 crore farmers will get this installment of 2 thousand rupees.
