Following the launch of the ,Maruti Suzuki India is likely to introduce the updated Baleno hatchback and Fronx compact crossover. Both models are currently undergoing testing and have been spotted multiple times, revealing key details. While the official launch timeline of the new 2026 Maruti Fronx facelift has not yet been announced, it’s expected to arrive by the end of 2026.
New 2026 Maruti Fronx Facelift – What to Expect?
Spy images suggest that the new Fronx facelift will receive subtle design changes including a redesigned front grille, a tweaked bumper and new silver skid plate. However, the headlamp and fog lamp assemblies are likely to remain unchanged.
A test mule of the new Maruti Fronx 2026 facelift was (advanced driver assistance system) calibration equipment and a LIDAR (light detection and ranging) unit integrated into the rear bumper. It clearly indicates that the updated lineup will feature a Level 2 ADAS suite. It’s expected to offer safety features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, high beam assist and more.
The MY2026 Maruti Fronx could also be equipped with features such as new seat upholstery, a sunroof, and ventilated front seats. Existing features such as Suzuki connected car tech, a 360-degree camera, HUD (Head-Up Display), cruise control, rear AC vents, wireless charger and height adjustable driver’s seat will be carried over.
The new 2026 Maruti Fronx facelift is expected to be offered with the existing 1.2-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0L Boosterjet turbocharged petrol engine options. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will also continue to be on offer.
Maruti Fronx Hybrid In 2027
Maruti Suzuki is developing an in-house strong hybrid powertrain, which is expected to make its debut in the new Fronx facelift sometime in 2027. It will be a series hybrid system that’s said to be more fuel efficient and cost effective than Toyota’s Atkinson strong hybrid technology. As per media reports, the 2027 Maruti Fronx hybrid could deliver a fuel efficiency of up to 35kmpl.
