New Delhi: Kia has kicked off a big moment for its India lineup by unveiling the second-generation Seltos in Hyderabad, which is also the global debut location. This SUV has already been a major player in India since 2019, and now it returns with a huge makeover, aiming to stay ahead in the compact and mid-size SUV crowd.
With this update, Kia clearly wants to keep the trust of loyal buyers and pull in more attention from India’s fast-growing SUV buyers.

New Kia Seltos: Bigger, smarter and built on a new platform
The new Seltos now measures 4460 mm in length and 1830 mm in width. It also carries a 2690 mm wheelbase, giving it a wider and more planted stance. Kia has moved to the global K3 platform for the first time in India, upgrading the SUV’s safety and dynamics package.
Kia officials explained that the new Seltos is specially shaped for Indian roads and customers, ready to take on tough situations. It aims to feel bolder and more capable than before.

Inside, Kia has added what it calls a 30-inch Trinity display system including a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a 12.3-inch digital cluster, plus a separate screen for AC controls. Cabin feels more modern and premium now.

Indian families notice safety more today, so a 24-feature standard pack is a big talking point. The ADAS suite adds lane-keeping support, collision alerts, blind-spot assist and more, helping the SUV compete directly with feature-heavy rivals.
Flush door handles and improved traction modes also show Kia is focusing on both design and tougher conditions.
New Kia Seltos: Variants, bookings and launch timelines
10 single-tone colour options will be available including new shades like Magma Red. Bookings open tonight at midnight with a token amount of Rs 25,000.
Deliveries are targeted for mid-January and pricing will be announced on January 2, 2026. Considering the market, it will likely sit in the Rs 11 lakh to Rs 22 lakh bracket right where most rivals stand, though Kia has not confirmed anything yet.
