Bajaj Auto has launched the 2026 Avenger Street 220 in India at ₹1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle has been listed on the company’s official website. Following the discontinuation of the Avenger 160, the Avenger Street 220 and Avenger Cruise 220 are now the only models in the Avenger range.
The new Avenger Street 220 is powered by the same 220cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine used in the Avenger Cruise 220 and previous 220cc Avenger models. The engine develops 19 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 17.6 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm and is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
Alloy Wheels, New Lighting Setup, and Revised Ergonomics
The motorcycle features a lower and flatter handlebar than the Avenger Cruise 220 while retaining the low-slung riding position associated with the Avenger lineup. It also gets a single-piece seat, forward-set footpegs and a pillion grab handle.
In terms of styling, the Avenger Street 220 comes with a circular LED headlamp featuring a horizontal DRL, a short visor, fork gaiters and a blacked-out finish for the engine and exhaust. Unlike the Cruise 220, it does not get a tall windscreen or a pillion backrest.
The cruiser rides on black alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, replacing the wire-spoke wheels used on the Cruise 220. Tyre sizes remain unchanged with a 90-section front and 130-section rear setup.
How Different Is It From The Avenger Cruise 220?
Suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and dual rear shock absorbers. Braking hardware includes a 280mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum brake, supported by single-channel ABS.
The Avenger Street 220 has a seat height of 737mm and a kerb weight of 163kg, making it 3kg heavier than the Avenger Cruise 220. Buyers can choose from two colour options: Ebony Black and Cocktail Wine Red.
Priced at around ₹1.30 lakh (ex-showroom), the Avenger Street 220 sits close to the Avenger Cruise 220 in Bajaj’s lineup and offers buyers an affordable cruiser motorcycle with relaxed ergonomics and a proven 220cc engine.
