Deepotsav 2025: The 9th Deepotsav was celebrated in Ayodhya on Sunday 19 October. During this period, 2 Guinness World Records were made. First, 26 lakh 17 thousand 215 lamps were lit simultaneously at 56 ghats. Second- 2128 people performed Maha Aarti at Saryu Ghat.
Ayodhya News: Ayodhya, the city of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram, sparkled with devotion and light on Sunday evening. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated Deepotsav-2025 by performing aarti of Maa Saryu on the banks of Saryu. In Ayodhya illuminated with millions of lamps, the Chief Minister said that this city, soaked in the blood of Ram devotees, is today bathing in the ocean of lamps and this is the new India, which is shining with confidence in its faith, identity and development.
CM Yogi performed aarti of mother Saryu
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed the aarti after the formal worship of Maa Saryu at Saryu Ghat, where many ministers, MLAs and public representatives were present with him. After this, he reached Ram Katha Park and addressed the public. CM Yogi said that this ninth edition of Deepotsav is the new identity of Uttar Pradesh. He asked the Ram devotees present to chant Jai Shri Ram by lighting the lights of their smartphones, due to which the entire park lit up with lights.
Ayodhya illuminated with more than 26 lakh 17 thousand lamps
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the double engine government has freed Ayodhya from humiliation. Earlier, those who used to make fun of faith and bloodshed the streets of Ayodhya filled with Ram devotees and kar sevaks, today they are being hurt by the light of more than 26 lakh 17 thousand lamps. These lamps are made with the hard work of the local Prajapati and potter community, who are also a source of employment. But Ramdrohi is not able to digest it.

CM Yogi said that he had the privilege of lighting the first lamp at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. Taking a jibe at the opposition, he said that those who do not believe in Ram, those who open fire on devotees and those who bleed Ayodhya, are not liking this. Earlier, being in power, these people used to stay away from Diwali, but used to spend crores of rupees on Saifai and the boundary of the cemetery. On his birthday, he used to push the public into the mentality of slavery by riding on Buckingham’s carriage. Now they are again trying to trap the public in the web of casteism and hatred. CM Yogi said how would such Ramdrohi like Deepotsav.
