Questions raised again on increasing crimes against women

Recently another famous case was in the news in the state, in which a B.Ed. student accused Sameer Sahu, the head of the department (HOD) of his college, of sexual harassment. Despite the complaint from the police and college administration by the student, no action was taken, after which the state government suspended the accused HOD and college principal Dilip Kumar Ghosh. The accused was also arrested later.

Women’s rights organizations and social workers have reacted strongly to this latest development. He says that such incidents with minor girls studying and living in government institutions show government negligence and failure of security system. They are demanding that the accused be punished not only, but corrective steps should be taken by reviewing the entire system. The silence of the government and the education department
So far no official statement has been revealed by the Odisha Government or Education Department on this whole matter. But resentment on social media on this issue is clearly seen, where people are demanding strict steps from the government.
