Kalaburgi: In a shocking incident, a Red Bird private jet crashed in Vijayapura district of Karnataka on Sunday evening, seriously injuring the pilot and trainee pilot. The accident took place near Mangalore village. Both the injured have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
Jet identified as Cessna 172 Tango Charlie
The plane has been identified as a Cessna 172.According is complete. Initial investigations suggested that the plane began to sway in the air near Kalaburagi. The pilot attempted to control the aircraft, but it crashed in a field.
The probe so far has revealed that fuel shortages caused the accident. However, no police statement has yet been released. The local police have launched an investigation into the incident. Red Bird Aviation has yet to state the incident.
Jet was on its way from Kalaburagi to Belagavi
According to Republic World, the jet was on its way from Kalaburagi to Belagavi. It was forced to make an emergency landing after it ran out of fuel. Subsequently, the jet crashed into a farmer’s agricultural field in the village.

Recently, a plane carrying former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar crashed while landing in Baramati. Along with him, four other people who were accompanying him also lost their lives. Ajit Pawar was on his way to attend an election campaign in Baramati when the incident took place.
