The final voter list has been released in Uttar Pradesh after Special Intensive Revision (SIR). According to the state’s Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa, now a total of 13 crore 39 lakh 84 thousand 792 voters have been registered in the state.

- About 2.06 crore names were deleted

In which districts voters increased?
According to the Election Commission, there has been a good increase in the number of voters in some districts, which include:
- Prayagraj
- Lucknow
- Jaunpur
However, questions are also being raised due to the large number of names being cut in many districts.
SP raised questions, gave memorandum to the commission
Samajwadi Party has raised serious questions regarding the voter list.
The party has demanded that:
- Complete list of deleted names should be given
- Data of duplicate, deceased and shifted voters should be made public
- Complete information about changes related to Form-6 and Form-8 should be shared
SP says there are problems like “logical errors” and “no-mapping” in the voter list.
Akhilesh Yadav’s sharp attack
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has openly attacked this issue. He alleged that the Election Commission is working in collaboration with BJP. He says that during the SIR process, votes of SP supporters were fraudulently deducted. He even said that there was “looting of votes” in the by-elections, but despite this, BJP will be defeated in the 2027 assembly elections.

The Election Commission says that this entire process has been done in a transparent manner and the rules have been followed. Under the SIR campaign, deceased, transferred and duplicate voters were removed, while newly eligible voters were added.
