First Trimester Precautions: The first 3 months of pregnancy are very delicate. During this period, it is important to avoid eating these things except papaya. Right eating habits are very important for the health of both mother and child. Therefore, take every step in these three months under the advice of a doctor.
First Trimester Care: The first trimester of pregnancy (first 3 months) is considered to be the most delicate time for both mother and child. During this period, the fetus develops rapidly and there are a lot of hormonal changes in the body. In such a situation, even a little carelessness in eating habits can affect health. Often women are advised not to eat papaya, but apart from this there are some things which are very important to avoid in the first trimester.
1. Papaya and Raw Pineapple
Raw or underripe papaya and raw pineapple both contain enzymes that can increase uterine contractions. This may increase the risk of miscarriage. Especially in the first three months, it is advisable to avoid these fruits completely.
2. Raw or undercooked meat, fish and eggs
Raw or undercooked meat, chicken, fish and eggs may contain bacteria and parasites, which cause food poisoning and infection. This infection during pregnancy can be dangerous for the mother as well as the child. Therefore always take well cooked and fresh non-veg.

3. More tea, coffee and chocolate
Consuming excessive amounts of caffeine present in tea, coffee and chocolate can affect the growth of the fetus. According to doctors, one should not drink more than 1-2 cups of tea or coffee a day. Eat chocolate also in limited quantity.
4. Supplements or home remedies without doctor’s advice
Do not take any multivitamin, Ayurvedic medicine or home remedy on your own during pregnancy. Some herbs and medications can cause hormonal imbalance. It is very important to consult a doctor before taking any medicine or supplement.
