The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken major action against Reliance Group Chairman Anil Ambani in the money laundering case. ED has temporarily attached Anil Ambani’s 17-storey house ‘Abode’ in Mumbai. This step has been taken under an alleged bank fraud case related to Reliance Communications. The investigating agency believes that there have been financial irregularities in this case and some properties may be linked to money raised illegally. For this reason, under the law, these properties are temporarily confiscated, so that there is no hindrance in further investigation.
It is being told that the value of this one property alone is more than Rs 3,700 crore. At the same time, till now properties worth about Rs 15,700 crore have been attached in this case. This figure shows how big and serious the matter is.
