12 Trains To Remain Cancelled On Gorakhpur-Gonda Rail Section From August 17 To 21; Check List

Railway News: The railway on Saturday informed that several trains will remain cancelled on the Gorakhpur-Gonda rail section between August 17 and 21 due to the maintenance works. Apart from this, the operation route of more than 15 trains will also be changed till August 21. While providing details, the authority stated that an automatic block signal system is being installed between Govindnagar-Tinich-Gaur-Babhanan (24.64 km) on the Gorakhpur-Gonda rail section. The officials stated that the cancellation of trains will affect passengers of multiple states, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal.

These trains will remain cancelled:

Train number 65115/65116, the Bhatni-Ayodhya Dham-Bhatni MEMU train, on August 18 and 19

Train number 15031/15032 Gorakhpur-Lucknow Jn-Gorakhpur Intercity on August 19

Train number 15114, the Chhapra-Gomtinagar Express, on August 17

Train number 15113, the Gomtinagar-Chhapra Express, on August 18

Train number 15034/15033 Lucknow Jn-Patliputra-Lucknow Jn Express on August 19

Train number 05131/05132, the Gorakhpur-Bahraich-Gorakhpur Special, on August 18 and 19

The authority advised the passengers to stay updated and plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconveniences. It further confirmed that the services will get back to normal once the installation work is finished.

In a separate news, to accommodate the festive rush during Rakshabandhan and Janmashtami, the Indian Railways has announced two pairs of special weekly trains between Prayagraj and Delhi, with halts at Govindpuri.
