Under the new rules, the total expenditure for H-1B visa will be around Rs 5.28 crore in 6 years, that is, the old matches will increase by about 50 times.

However, the press secretary of the White House clarified that this fee of $ 100,000 would only apply to the new visa application and is not an annual fee. The basis of this change is the President of US President Donald Trump on Friday, the President’s order “Restriction on Entry of Certain Nonimmigrant Workers”. Under this order, a major change was made in the H-1B visa program and the fee was increased from $ 2,000-5,000 to $ 100,000. Experts say that this change will affect IT and technology companies in the US and may reduce the number of skilled employees coming from abroad.

There will be no effect on existing visa holders

He also clarified that those who are already an H-1B visa holder and currently outside the US will not have to pay a fee of $ 100,000. The current visa holders can leave the US and return according to their general condition. Some reports said that the companies asked their employees to return from India early so that the new fee would not be incurred. On this, a senior American official told ANI that the employees visiting America do not need to return soon and they would not have to pay a $ 100,000 fee.
