Delhi AIIMS doctors
Delhi AIIMS is continuously setting new records in the medical field. In this series, more than 10 thousand surgeries have been done in Delhi AIIMS in one year. It involves a large number of complex and high-risk operations. Robotic surgeries are also being done on patients in AIIMS. Due to this, treatment is being done easily and in less time. The special thing is that in these surgeries, organ transplants of the patients have also been done. Most of which have been successful.
Dr. Sunil Chumber, Professor in the Department of Surgery at AIIMS Delhi, said that AIIMS Delhi has long been the major referral center of the country, where serious patients from all over the country come for treatment. Many of these patients also require surgery. Whose surgery is done in AIIMS. Here, surgeries related to general surgery, neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, orthopedics, gastro surgery, urology and gynecology are performed. Every day hundreds of patients come to OPD and a large number of patients require surgery.
New revolution in treatment through robotic surgery
Dr Sunil told that robotic surgery is also being done in Delhi AIIMS. There has been an increase in urology, gastrointestinal surgery and cancer surgery. In this technique, surgeons perform operations with the help of robotics under the close supervision of doctors. Due to this, the patient finds the incision much smaller than normal surgery. Its biggest advantage is that blood loss is reduced and the patient’s recovery is faster. It also takes less time than normal surgery. More than 1 thousand robotic surgeries have been performed in a year.
Patients are benefiting
It is clear from the thousands of surgeries conducted every year in AIIMS that even in government hospitals, treatment is now possible through state-of-the-art technology. This surgery is being done almost free of cost in AIIMS. Apart from surgery, young doctors and surgeons are also being trained in modern techniques for robotic surgery. Continuous work is being done on new technologies and research regarding surgery in AIIMS.
