Ahead of Bihar elections 2025, 10 policemen (7 women, 3 men) posted on duty in Sitamarhi have gone missing. His salary has been stopped for not joining duty. This incident has raised serious questions on election security.
Sitamarhi: Just before the second phase of Bihar assembly elections, great negligence has come to light in the security arrangements. A total of 10 policemen posted on election duty in Sitamarhi have gone missing, which include 7 female constables and 3 male constables. All of them have not joined duty yet. After this incident, there is panic in the police department and administration.
Police Headquarters issued letter
Bihar Police Headquarters has issued an official letter in this regard. According to the letter, a total of 3429 constables and constables were sent to different districts for duty in the second phase of elections from Patna district. Of these, 1153 soldiers were sent to Sitamarhi district. But till date there has been no trace of 10 of those policemen.

- Female Constable: Neha Kumari, Neelam Kumari, Sapna Kumari, Smita Kumari, Ruby Kumari, Chitra Chandravanshi
Headquarters has said that all of them had contributed in Patna, but did not join duty after posting in Sitamarhi. The phones are switched off and contact is not possible.
Order to stop salary issued
An order to stop the salary of these 10 policemen has been issued with immediate effect. Also, the concerned accounting officer has been asked to ensure further action. The department has considered this a serious breach of duty.
Questions on security before elections
The second phase of voting is to be held on November 11. In such a situation, the disappearance of policemen from duty raises questions on security and election system. Sitamarhi has been considered a sensitive area during elections. After this incident, the administration is now trying to find out where all these policemen went and under what circumstances they became absent from duty. The department is in no mood to take this matter lightly.
